Many tile and pottery items look quite similar and reproduction items make identification without physical inspection highly flawed. We are not responsible for sellers who misquote or mislead others using our research or identification methods. When buying any antique it's "buyer beware". Ask for details when in doubt.
TERMS & CONDITIONS: Any use of the Pottery Hound – California Revival Decor web site and shop is subject to the user agreeing to the following terms and conditions of use set forth herein. Please read this document in its entirety before purchasing any item from us. The terms and conditions described in the categories below govern the use of this site (referred to as "Pottery Hound", "web store", "shop", or "site") and your use and/or placement of any order indicate your acceptance of these conditions.
Pottery Hound reserves the right to change the contents of this page and all pages without notice. All items are subject to prior sale. We cannot guarantee the availability of any offering. Sales are subject to a first-come, first-served rule and some of the items may be one-of-a-kind. Pottery Hound itself offers no warranties of any kind for any item sold through the web site and shop, and, although we make every effort to provide accurate, up-to-date information in these pages, we offer no guarantees about the day-to-day accuracy of content contained herein. Vintage pottery, tile, furnishings, paintings, etc. are described to the best of our ability. Handmade or vintage pottery and tiles are not "perfect”. Other than reproductions, all items are of a certain age and vintage and it is to be expected that they could have a certain amount of minimal wear or factory flaws such as color variations, glaze runs, or bumps which are not considered “damage” nor constitute a reason for a return. Other condition issues or damage will be directly stated in the item description to the best of our ability.
PAYMENT OPTIONS: We accept Paypal credit card or bank transfer payments. Arrangements may be made to send personal checks if the check is received within 5 business days of your order. We do require seven to ten days to clear checks before shipment.
SECURITY: The Pottery Hound web shop uses a sockets layer (SSL), an advanced encryption technology that works to protect your personal information. This encryption provides the best possible protection to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration from unauthorized parties. We do not see your credit information, nor is it shared with us. All credit card or banking information is processed directly with Paypal and their own secure encrypted servers.
SALES TAX: Pottery Hound is required by law to apply sales tax to the full purchase price (excluding shipping fees) of all products delivered within the state of California. The rate is currently 8.25% of your item/s total sales price. You agree to pay all sales taxes incurred by your purchases unless we are provided with a signed form indicating you are the current and valid holder of a California resale number, which we will verify and keep on file for future purchases.
SHIPPING: Customer is responsible for all shipping costs and full insurance (which is required). Pottery Hound uses UPS, USPS, Freight, and/or Blanket wrap, depending on your needs. We will do our best to make sure your purchases arrive safely and in a timely manner. We have been packing and shipping rare and fragile items safely for many years and double-box and carefully pack all items. We ship delicate ceramic items on Monday after the order has been placed for quickest and safest results. Large freight items will be scheduled at your convenience but may take a week or so to arrange. Any third party Freight shipments will be either paid by check or Paypal when costs are determined to your locale. We do not charge handling, restocking, or materials fees.
RETURNS: Returns will not be accepted without prior approval from Pottery Hound. We will accept any item returned for reasonable cause solely at our discretion. Notification must be received within 48 hours of receipt. Customers must pay for return shipping, insurance and initial shipping costs will be deducted from the refunded total. All returns must have intact and undisturbed shop labels and tags. Refunds will be made by Paypal or check at our discretion within approximately 30 days of any return or dispute.
INSURANCE CLAIMS: Pottery Hound will send/provide any and all information to help you process any insurance claims. Any refunds for damages that need to be processed through us will be paid when received by the carrier. Again, intact shop labels and tags are a must. ALL packaging must be retained and not thrown out or claims will automatically be denied by shippers and we will not be responsible for any damages or loss incurred.
PRIVACY: We use the information you provide solely for the purpose of completing your purchase and to arrange shipping. We do not share your information with third parties, or store your information on file. We do not directly process your banking or credit information, nor at this time do we accept credit cards by phone.
